And the files which we want can be downloaded from different dedicated servers as well . But here the thing is entirely different with torrents because torrents will work not based upon Servers it entirely works on sharing . Which means the user uses his Personal Computers to share a torrent from his Hard Disk and the PC itself serves as a server . The users only are responsible for sharing the particular files.

Torrents are specialized files utilized in Peer-To-Peer (P2P) network environments. P2P is a network of personal computers that communicate with one another by running proprietary P2P software. The first P2P software designed to utilize torrents was BitTorrent by Bram Cohen.

What is a .torrent file?
To start the download of a file,a user clicks on a link pointing to .torrent meta-data file. These meta-data files are not stored on the torrent trackers server, but are distributed among a number of .torrents files servers.When we click on download torrent the .torrent file will be downloaded .torrent file points to a tracker, which keeps a global registry of all the downloaders and seeds of the corresponding file. The tracker responds to a user’s request with a list of some of the peers having (part of) the requested file, with whom the user can establish direct connections to barter for chunks of the file.One tracker can supervise the simultaneous downloads of multiple files.

How to create New Torrent:

I’m going through the process how to create torrent files using u-torrent software . Because It is well suitable and easy to create the torrent file using u-torrent. the steps include :

1. open u-torrent

2. File > Create new Torrent (or CTRL + N)

3. Select the files and or directories from select source

4. Trackers: This is probably the hard part for most people. But it’s pretty easy, just put in one of the popular public trackers. You can use one or more trackers, but in general one is enough.

After months of speculation, we have to say that the overall pre-launch perception correct was at times correct (hardware+OS) and plain wrong on other topics - like the pricing. Responsiveness

The first thing that I pay attention to in a touch device is how "responsive" it is. Despite the vastly superior resolution, when compared to the iPhone, the iPad is just as responsive (or may be even more so) than the iPhone 3GS. The overall 2D graphics speed is very good, there's no question about that. Because it is so fast, the user interface responds right away to input, which makes the user feel in control. With the exception of the Zune HD, I have never used a device that's more responsive than the iPhone 3GS, and now, the iPad.

We all are expecting iPhone 3GS (The Fastest iPhone Ever) will be launched in India on 24th March’10.

This handset will be locked with any network that provide the handset for a year or so, however it’s still not clear which service provider will choose Apple. We’ll update the prices very soon.

BTW, iPhone 4G is all set to hit the US market, however we’re still waiting to launch 3G in India barring with MTNL and BSNL.

One of the biggest bugbears of the original iPhone for corporate users was its lack of business-friendly features such as Exchange support. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then and, while Apple has evolved its product, other mobile manufacturers have been eager to learn from its mistakes.

Many are keen to steal Apple’s touchscreen crown and cement a firm place in the hearts of businesses and consumers alike but few are failing to really offer people a device they can use both inside and outside the office without compromise. Until now, perhaps?

One such contender for the throne is Samsung with its i900 handset. The Omnia, as it is more commonly known, whose moniker translates as ‘everything’ in Latin and ‘wish’ in Arabic, claims to offer users everything they could want in a mobile device ‘in one touch’. But does it really live up to the hype?

Dubbed an ‘all-in-one maxi-phone fully loaded with top-of-the-line multimedia enhanced smartphone features’ and backed by a €5.8 million (£4.7 million) campaign in the UK alone, with ads seemingly everywhere from the tube to newspapers (we haven’t seen any in the toilets…yet), the marketing bumf is enough to give you indigestion.

But, taking a step back from what the marketeers would have you believe you will actually find something of a business gem.

The exterior of the device initially looks pretty classy, but closer inspection reveals it as having a plastic rather than metal finish, which is a little disappointing. However, it doesn’t look cheap, which is an important characteristic for anyone in a business environment, particularly so for those that attend frequent decision-making meetings.

The 3.2 inch WQVGA LCD touch screen with its 240 x 400 pixels is ample enough for most business users’ needs. It’s based on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, which may be enough to send some business users scurrying away. Samsung thankfully has given it a bit of a makeover, making it more pleasant to look at, though in use it’s still not completely problem free.

Business users will appreciate that the inclusion of Pocket Office. On-screen icons are well thought through design-wise and there’s can you drag your frequently icons onto the ‘desktop’, much like Apple’s OSX widgets enabling a pleasing degree of customisation. However, things can get crowded rather quickly.

The user interface was generally responsive – although applications didn’t load as speedily as we’d have liked. It provides impressive haptic feedback, so you know your request has been received.

There’s a range of input methods including keypads and handwriting recognition and a hard ‘mouse’ key at the bottom of the screen. Sadly, there’s no room at the inn for the stylus, which is forced to live forevermore outside of the handset’s casing on an entirely separate stick, so its eventual loss is near inevitable. However while you still have it in your possession you can admire its solid housing inside a retracting case.

An accelerometer cleverly flips what’s on the screen from portrait to landscape (or vice versa). Unlike with the iPhone or most Windows Mobile devices it does this with the entire OS, which is useful, doing so with a slick resizing effect. There’s a slight delay while the GUI re-adjusts but it’s not too terrible. It certainly makes for easier viewing for Word docs and emails.

Those keen to while away hours spent travelling (but not driving) by watching videos will be pleased by the support for DivX and XviD. Users needing access to the web at the touch of a finger will welcome HSDPA connectivity up to 7.2Mbps and Wi-Fi, while workaholics will smile at the support for push email.

There’s 8GB of internal ROM storage memory but a 16GB version is also available. This is boostable to a whopping 32GB with the addition of a 16GB microSD card, but you’ll need to remove the battery to slide it in.

Nokia warns of falling mobile phone demand

Despite efforts on both sides of the Atlantic to kick-start consumer spending, shoppers are holding off on non-essential purchases such as new phones, Nokia has warned.

Pointing to data that showed sales of mobile phones are shrinking faster than expected as consumers are cutting spending, Nokia issued its second warning in three weeks on the state of the market for new handsets.

"Consumers are continuing dramatically to cut back their spending," Nokia chief financial officer Rick Simonson said at the company's investor day in New York, adding that he was under "no illusions" that the market would recover any time soon. " We're facing it across the world. What's recently accelerated is the slowdown in emerging markets," he said.

Nokia said handset market volumes are expected to fall by at least five per cent next year, something many analysts were already expecting. But it sees its market share rising, helping to lift its stock four percent to €11.02 (£9.58) in Europe and $13.84 (£9.43) in the US.

Some analysts are worried, however, that handset sales could fall a lot further next year, as even Nokia acknowledged that it does not have a good view of the market for 2009. Nokia's comments echo a similar warning from Samsung.

"We're surprised they didn't cut (its forecast) more for 2009," said Charter Equity Research analyst Ed Snyder. "I don't think we'll see February 1 without another cut."

In addition to ailing consumer demand, operator and retail distributors will go through a period of destocking, resulting in lower sales volumes of manufacturers than purchase volumes by consumers in the first half of 2009, Nokia said.

The mobile phone market has grown at well over 10 per cent for years, having dipped only in 2001, amid that year's economic downturn; but it will face a new challenge next year.

"Next year will be the most challenging year the mobile industry has ever faced," said Ben Wood, research director at CCS Insight.

But Nokia said it was in a good position to weather the downturn because of the large scale of its global business.

"2009 will be challenging for our industry; however we have a strong, enviable base to build on, and I believe we will continue to strengthen our position on many fronts," Nokia chief executive Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo said in a statement.

"Building on our operational flexibility, Nokia is acting to reduce costs appropriately in the current slowing environment," he said.

But the company said that in the meantime fourth quarter earnings will suffer, as it has not been able to cut costs quickly enough in response to the rapid deterioration of the handset market in the last few weeks.

Analysts expect Nokia to fare better than its smaller rivals in the downturn.

"Despite the challenging environment, Nokia remains best positioned ... thanks to their economies of scale and channel strategy," said Gartner analyst Carolina Milanesi.

Nokia cut its forecast a day after the world's fifth and sixth largest handset makers, LG and RIM, warned on sales and profit growth. Motorola and Sony Ericsson are already struggling to make a profit.

Nokia said it expects also to win back market share in smartphones, where it has lost ground to RIM and Apple. Simonson said that the smartphone market should grow in 2009, but he did not give a specific estimate.

Targeted at the enterprise (that’s what the E denotes), the phone is replete with push-mail options, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync support for syncing mail, contacts and calendars with Outlook, VPN client and Office documents compatibility, etc. Yet, embedded entertainment features (media player, FM radio and a 3.2 megapixel camera) happily place it closer to the Nseries rather than in the realm of straightforward, staid business phones. Its pre-loaded productivity applications, Wi-Fi and 3G capabilities, of course, will benefit all user segments.

Twin-customizable home screen views, multitasking abilities that allow you to switch between tasks, a screen accelerometer for automatic landscape-portrait orientation across all applications (though often overly sensitive), an assortment of dedicated app keys around the four-way button and keypad shortcut buttons for a quick silent mode and Bluetooth on/off are very handy. With an upgraded processor, navigating on the Nokia E66’s apps is fast—an immense improvement on its predecessor, the E65.

Even the voice quality for calls—both made and received—is excellent. The phone has a decent GPS sensor and the initial position lock-in of under a minute is aided substantially by A-GPS triangulation. The Symbian S60 browser loads Web pages fast (on Wi-Fi) and stays loyal to all page formatting without any visual glitches.

The E66 is rated for a talktime of 7.5 hours and a standby time of 264 hours. Depending on usage, it lasts for about two to three days without recharging. Even though its slightly more nimble sibling, the E71, offers a better battery life and a full Qwerty keyboard, which makes for a better alternative for heavy texters and mail addicts, the slicker form factor of the E66 will appeal to people who find the broad-backed E71 too “blockish”.

The metal plate at the back of the phone, though, can get uncomfortably warm with extended use. The side loaded convenience (volume and camera) keys could offer more tactile reflex.

Some people may rue the presence of a 2.5mm headphone jack instead of a standard 3.5mm one. As with most phones, the 3.2 megapixel camera here does its best shutter captures only in very well-lit surroundings or daylight.

Yet, its outstanding build quality, its zippy 369MHz ARM processor, a clutch of useful PDA-like productivity tools, have-it-all connectivity and communication features, slim silhouette, charismatic visage and several thoughtful touches make this smartphone a very serious and savvy contender for your pocket.

A Close Shave

Hirsute chins with stubborn and swift growth would need this. Claiming to be the “first ever electric shaver to feature a unique flex and pivot action”, the Philips Arcitec RQ helps ease shaving around the contours and curves of the neck and chin. The rechargeable shaver boasts three independently flexing heads that flex, pivot and swivel to maintain maximum skin contact.

It is usable both dry and wet. It can also be operated with foam or in the shower as it’s waterproof and water-resistant. Well constructed, ergonomic, fitting snugly in the hand, the shaver feels comfortable to grip right from the first use. Yet, it seems a tad heavy as electric shavers go.

Arcitec comes with a neat (but bulky) charging pod. Frequent travellers will baulk at the bulk factor. An hour’s change provides about 65 minutes shaving time; a snappy 5 minute charge is enough for a single shave. So while the shaver is streamlined in shape, the structure of the pod makes it rather bulky to keep in your briefcase for a quick 5 o’clock shadow shave before an evening out straight after office. The shaver’s best suited for daily use or two-day stubble. Anything more and you have to rework on areas. The shaves are close and the skin doesn’t feel a pinch while the blades are in action—no hair tug, no scraping. However, if you’re having a go at a week-old stubble, be prepared for some mild afterburn, especially on the more tender neck areas. Audio buzz levels are tolerably muted.

The shaver incorporates an integrated slide-out trimmer which works very well with moustaches and sideburns. Cleaning the shaver is easy and fast: Switch it on and dip it in some warm soapy water for about 30 seconds. Or else, you can open the rotary head covers and rinse them under a running tap. Arcitec is a very neat and handy gadget for every man’s grooming kitty. But would I buy it at that price?

After nearly two years, I’m really tired of reading about other people’s problems with Microsoft’s Vista operating system.

I mean, I’ve got my own problems. Teenagers living in my house and eating my food, a wife training to be an oral surgeon routinely working 36-hour shifts, a van that devours gas. Oh, and then there’s Vista.

Consumers have had issues with Vista since its release in January 2007, although the latest figures indicate that most holdouts have accepted, if not embraced, the system. Despite Apple’s snarky ad campaigns promoting its Macs, more than 140 million copies of Vista have been sold; Windows remains a money magnet for Microsoft, accounting for more than a quarter of the company’s $60.4 billion (about Rs2.9 trillion) in annual revenue.

Taming Vista on my Intel chip-equipped Sony Vaio laptop became, after a while, a measure of maintaining patience, never mind sanity. Sure, there was a day recently when I could’ve thrown the thing out of the window and into the backyard, and then made tracks to the Mac Pro desktop in the basement.

The truth is, Vista doesn’t have to be as bad as the competing Apple ads say it is.

Here are some ways to make your Vista experience morelivable, and perhaps even more loveable.

Farewell to the UAC

It’s not just me: Among the features that many users found most annoying early on in Vista’s life cycle was the user account control (UAC) feature.

The UAC in Vista was to save newbie Web surfers from spyware and viruses that might otherwise install themselves on the hard drive. This is a good thing, of course, as Windows machines attract viruses like candy apples draw flies.

A warning box pops up on the screen every time a program or application is about to be installed: “Windows needs your permission to continue.”

Vista is a memory hog. Microsoft says a computer running Vista needs 512MB or more of random access memory. But adding RAM is best left to an expert

The options are to click on “continue” or “cancel”.

It used to be that if you tried to disable the user account in Vista’s Control Panel, it would reappear on reboot. One observer noted that this was Microsoft’s way of “never forgiving you for your stupidity” in turning off UAC.

“Almost every other question I get was how to get rid of the UAC,” said Karl L. Gechlik, a systems administrator in Manhattan, who fields such questions as a hobby on his website,

Microsoft now allows you to turn off UAC permanently if you have a newer version of the operating system or have downloaded the Service Pack 1 release (if you haven’t downloaded Service Pack 1 yet, do it now at www.tinyurl.com/55k8a4; the upgrade fixes a host of bugs with Vista).

Add memory

Vista is a memory hog. Microsoft says a computer running Vista needs 512MB or more of random access memory. In the real world, in which a person uses more than one application at a time, a GB of RAM is a more realistic minimum; 2GB is better.

NASA is set to begin work next month in Boston on a four-year, $1.74 million project called the Virtual Space Station. The project is supposed to create a program that can independently counsel depressed astronauts by supplying solutions to their typed insecurities. AP writer Jay Lindsay insists that it's nothing like HAL 9000, and he's totally right: that was a movie, and this is terrifyingly real.

In the program, astronauts type their various psychological problems into a console, and a pre-recorded video therapist leads the astronaut through a series of likely solutions. The robot "helps astronauts identify reasons for their depression. Then the program helps them make a plan to fight the depression."

I know you're thinking "well, this is for astronauts, and lucky me, I'm totally unqualified for that kind of job. So I'm safe!" No such luck: the Virtual Space Station is not only being tested on civilians, but the designers hope it will become a widespread tool among those for whom a real, non-robot therapist isn't an option.

The biggest problem, aside from the robot gaining independent thought and slaughtering everyone in sight, is privacy. There isn't much guarantee that the astronaut's interactions will be kept secret, and in fact it seems a pretty likely guess that they'll be analyzed extensively. My biggest concern is that a scary robot will know about my intense fear of clowns and that weird dream I have about my third-grade teacher.
